How Much Does Interior Design Cost in Ireland? A Transparent Guide

One of the most common questions we receive at EP Interiors is: how much does interior design actually cost? It's a fair question — and one that deserves a transparent, honest answer.

Initial Design Consultation
Most interior designers in Dublin offer an initial consultation as a starting point. At EP Interiors, our Initial Design Consultation starts from €550 including VAT. This includes a 15-minute discovery call, a 2-hour in-home consultation, professional design advice, and a tailored fee proposal outlining the next steps.

Styling and Decoration Services
If you're looking to refresh your existing space with new furniture, artwork, and accessories, a styling service is often the right fit. At EP Interiors, our Decorate & Style service starts from €3,500 to €5,500 per room€per room plus VAT. This includes furniture and accessories selection, a moodboard, sourcing assistance, and on-site styling.

To help you visualise the finished result before anything is purchased, we also create concept boards and spatial planning layouts — so you can see how the furniture, colours, and accessories will work together in your actual room before committing to any decisions. This gives you confidence and clarity at every stage.

Full Interior Design Services
For new builds, renovations, or full home transformations, a comprehensive interior design service covers everything from spatial planning and 3D visualisation to detailed design documentation for builders and trades. At EP Interiors, full Interior Design Services start from €10,000, depending on the scope. For larger projects, design fees are typically 10–15% of the overall project budget.

What Affects the Cost?
Several factors influence the overall investment:

  • Size and complexity of the project

  • Number of rooms involved

  • Whether construction documentation is required

  • Level of ongoing involvement during the build

Is It Worth It?
A well-designed home doesn't just look beautiful — it functions better, feels better to live in, and often adds significant value to your property. Many of our clients tell us that working with a designer saved them money in the long run by avoiding costly mistakes.

Curious about what your project might cost? Get in touch for a discovery call — we'll talk through your vision and give you a clear picture of what's involved.
